Background
Background
Sharon Mesmer brings nearly two decades of experience in education to her work at Busch Law Group. As a former public school educator, curriculum developer, and school administrator, she offers a practical understanding of the operational demands and complex issues facing school districts and boards of education.
Sharon began her legal career in 2002 as a paralegal in New Jersey before transitioning into education. Over the next fifteen years, she taught in both traditional and online classrooms and developed curriculum for public and private schools, as well as government organizations. In 2018, she earned her Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision and moved into school leadership, overseeing middle and high school operations in southern New Jersey.
Sharon earned her law degree while working full time as a school administrator, drawing on her experience navigating the responsibilities of school leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following graduation in 2023, she served as a law clerk to Judge Barry Tidwell of the Rutherford County Circuit Court in Tennessee. She subsequently entered private practice, gaining litigation experience and representing clients in family and education law matters.
At Busch Law Group, Sharon draws on her background in education and litigation to help school districts and boards address legal challenges with an appreciation for how decisions affect school operations, educators, and students. Her experience as both an educator and administrator informs a practical, thoughtful approach to legal representation.
