Background
Mr. Mandel has significant litigation experience representing public entities and their officers, elected officials and other members of management before the United States District Court, the Superior Court of New Jersey and the Office of Administrative Law. Mr. Mandel’s clients have included school districts, municipalities, counties and businesses. Mr. Mandel’s practice often involves defending suits alleging employment discrimination, harassment, whistle-blower retaliation and other alleged Civil Rights violations. Prior to joining The Busch Law Group, Mr. Mandel worked for a regional law firm where his practice similarly focused on serving public entity clients, including extensive defense of alleged Constitutional violations of false arrest, excessive force and malicious prosecution.
Mr. Mandel has been recognized as a Rising Star by New Jersey Super Lawyers® for 2020. Mr. Mandel is the Treasurer of the New Brunswick Bar Association. Mr. Mandel has previously served as a Commissioner and Secretary of the Metuchen Parking Authority and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Federation of Dog Clubs. Before entering private practice, Mr. Mandel completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Judges Frederic Kessler, P.J.Ch., and Katherine Dupuis, P.J.Ch., in the Chancery Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union County.
